Donation protected
Arya is a black trans nonbinary lesbian living in Providence. She is asking now for support from her community to achieve stability and thrive.
Arya was formerly incarcerated in Rhode Island for over two decades. As a result of incarceration, Arya has faced countless barriers in finding safe and stable housing. Arya has secured employment through Trans Lifeline, and needs this additional support now to establish a lasting foundation in this community. She seeking funds to purchase clothes, cover moving costs, and assist with general living expenses.
The people of Providence have been in the streets shouting black lives matter, black trans lives matter, and calling for the defunding of the police. Arya has been in the state’s oppressive systems most of her life. This much needed stability will afford Arya the opportunity to commit herself to her life’s passion of community advocacy. Arya’s lived experience is invaluable. Let’s give her the time and space she needs to raise her voice.
