Hey guys. I am actually a bit in shock that I have had to resort to making this.
I am 26 and was born with one of the rarest medical conditions known to man. I was born with Klippel Trenaunay Syndrome and have been hospitalized over 120 TIMES for various surgeries and grave cellulitis and sepsis since I was born.
I have never known a life without constant hospitalization and near death experiences. I am severely disabled. I am losing my mobility, have frequent bleeding, blood clots, and horrific pain.
More importantly, though, I keep getting septic and nearly dying. This past month, I was in the hospital 3 times for cellulitis infections. I am now home on a picc line to recieve daily IV antibitoics.
My doctors have recently made a MAJOR breakthrough in treating this condition with chemotherapy medications. My family and I have done EVERYTHING to get my hands on these chemotherapy medications but the insurance companies will not budge.
Insurance will not cover ANY of the two chemotherapy medications I need to LIVE. IT IS 14,000 A MONTH FOR THE MEDICATIONS I NEED. Insurance will not cover any of it!
I am allergic to many of the major classes of antibiotics. The ones I am not allergic to I keep breaking through and because of this keep having near death experiences.
Without these medications, I may not survive much longer and insurance will not cover any of it. Please help me live. There is so much I want to do before I die someday and I am nowhere ready. I would not have made this page if I was not desperate.
I believe I was put on this Earth to help garner awareness for this condition and my mission is nowhere finished.
