Donations for Shipping Costs

The Animal Rescue Guild of WI is a group of Wisconsin crafters, seamstresses, artists, creative types and supporters who have gathered together to hand-make needed items for Rescue Centers and Wildlife Rehab centers.

Our initial and primary focus is helping the people of Australia care for the injured and displaced wildlife affected by the Australian bushfires, currently raging across their country. Once the need has been met in Australia, we plan on taking our efforts local and providing items to area shelters, rescue groups and rehabilitation centers and being available in the time of need should other natural disasters or crisis happen that affect local wildlife in areas across the globe. 

Our group has amassed over 1,000 members in less than a week and we already have donated items ready to ship overseas.

Our group is focused on doing this with as little out-of-pocket cost to our generous members by asking for donations of excess new crafting materials, donated sheets, blankets, sweaters, pillow cases and other items that can be re-used as material for making the needed items and by creating and following a flow for getting donations from one location to the next by a means of drop sites, sub hub locations and with the use of runners and transport providers.

The primary cost that we are facing is once we get a collection of items packaged and ready to ship overseas, the cost of shipping to Australia is above just using people willing to run donations from one location to the next. An average package can cost around $100 to ship with somewhat expedited shipping which allows the items to get to the needed destinations with sufficient time to be beneficial to the rescue centers. We appreciate any funds donated to this cause and the animals of Australia and the world can continue to be cared for, thrive and have the risk of endangerment be reduced from your generosity!
