Help Newbern Alabama and its 1st Black Mayor

Tax deductible
Patrick Braxton accomplished something no other black resident of Newbern had ever accomplished since the city's founding in 1854; he was duly elected mayor of the city.
However, the minority white residents of the city, long accustomed to exercising total control over the city government refuses to accept this outcome.

Activist LaQuenna Lewis, who lost her house to a fire (cause unknown) and received vile hate mail, continues to serve the community often with Mayor Braxton's help.

Newbern is a small town with a big heart. But it's also a town with a lot of needs. The poverty rate in Newbern is nearly twice the national average.

Your tax-deductible gift will fund community gardens, food distribution, STEM camps for kids, voter rights, and more.
