We’re building more than a garden—we’re growing a healing, educational, and empowering space for the people of poverty -stricken communities.
“Sowed Up Grow Family” is a grassroots community effort to create a safe green space where youth, families, and elders can grow fresh food, learn together, and reconnect with the land and each other.
Right now, we’re working to secure a location, but we already have volunteers, vision, community partners and heart. What we need now is funding expand and to bring it all to life.

Why This Garden Matters
In parts of Alabama, access to fresh, healthy food is limited—and so are safe outdoor spaces where people can learn, heal, and grow.
This garden will:
Provide fresh produce to local families in need
Offer youth education programs around gardening, health, and sustainability
Create a healing space with benches, shade, and peace
✊ Promote food justice by empowering people to grow their own food
We believe in planting seeds that grow far beyond the soil.
