Mobility Fund for Adrian Steadman
Donation protected
Thank you for reading about this campaign. My name is Lisa, and I have started this MUCH needed fundraiser for a very good friend and classmate of mine. I got re-connected with Adrian last year, and was heart broke when I realized his situation. Adrian became paralyzed in a tragic car accident a few years after high school, he has been in a wheelchair now over half his life. Adrian is a fighter and learned quickly to be independant. He lives alone, which is a challenge. I never knew how much of a challenge it was until I spent some time at his home, I helped as much as I could, but this home that he worked very hard for is NOT equipped for his day to day needs. Adrian is in "Dire Need" of new wheelchair ramps, and some remodel work in the hallway area, and very much so needs a "Wheelchair Accessible" bathroom. I think when Adrian was younger it may have been easier for him to hop in and out of his chair, but this has become very difficult for him. Please help with anything you can, I know there are a lot of Redmond High School Mustangs still in the area, Adrian would be very grateful for any help whether it be financial or maybe donating some of your talents in the construction industry. I would like to get the wheelchair ramps ASAP as this is a major safety hazard, he currently only has one way in and one way out. In the event of a fire, this is a major concern.
Thank you very, very much on behalf of Adrian, knowing he can maintain his independance longer and be safe in his own home would be a huge blessing to Adrian and his family.
