Adopt-A-MomEP First Home expenses

Donation protected
Hello to all. As many of you may know, my name is Julianna Esparza Loya, I am the founder of a non-profit organization here in the El Paso area known as Adopt-A-MomEP. Adopt- A-MomEP did not start as a non-profit organization, in fact it started as facebook group for moms during the covid pandemic. My goal at the time was to create a space where moms could feel understood. A space where we could laugh, win prizes, have fun and empower eachother. It was not long before we realized we could also come together and do great things for our community.

Now 3 years old, we have grown and done so much for our community. We have donated money to other non-profit organizations like Gold Out El Paso, an organization that focuses on awareness for childhood cancer. We have donated money to the Autisim Society of El Paso as well as The Childrens Miracle Network in partnership with Costco Wholesale. We have raised money for countless funerals and medical expenses for our members. We raised funds for the families of the victims of the Uvalde Texas Mass shooting. We have raised money for mothers whom have lost their homes due to fires, and a mother and daughter left on the street because they could not afford to pay their rent during the pandemic. We have done so much for our community that it is truly impossible to note every time we have given and blessed.

Aside from given to individual organization and specific individuals, we also have annual community outreach events. Events such as our annual Trunk or Treat where we provide, FREE candies, toys, entertainment and food for the children of Segundo Barrio as well as our group members. We bless over 300 people during this event. We also have our annual back to school drive. Through this initiative we have given out over 3,500 school supplies in 3 years and over 900 backpacks filled with supplies, to children in the Segundo Barrio as well as children to single mothers within our organization. We also host our annual Project Warm Hearted where in 3 years we have given out over 1,500 NEW jackets and blankets to the children of Segundo Barrio and our sister border city of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
We also created a community event we host every 2 months for our Mommy entrepreneurs . Our one of a kind Mommy Mercadito where mothers with skill are able to showcase their work. Our goal is to help them make money, grow their customer base and essentially be on their way in becoming successful business owners. We believe in truly helping our Mommy vendors and that is why for 3 years since this project initiated we have NEVER charged our vendors a single penny. The vendors set up their booths for free and get to take 100% of their profit home.
We have created countless community outreach events from adopting children diagnosed with down syndrome with care packages, adopting children diagnosed with autism with care packages. We have adopted hundreds of moms with care packages, and dads for fathers day. We have created youth empowering community events and workshops. We host a monthly Mommy Runaway where we help support local businesses but also allow the moms of our community to escape motherhood once a month, relax, eat, drink, win prizes and have some fun.

We have made national news twice in this year alone for our work in blessing our community. We have an amazing village of women and community members always willing to give a helping hand. In the 3 years we have been operating, 1 year as a facebook group and 2 years as a non-profit organization we have blessed so many and we have achieved the latter by coming together or as we like to often say
"Juntas Somos MAS". Adopt-A-MomEP is usually always helping others, and 100% of what we have donated so far has 100% been given back to our community.

Today as we venture into uncharted territories of having our own building to call home for at least 3 years, we come to our community and ask for help. This time we ask if you find it in your hearts to help us meet this goal so that we can have a building to continue to grow and do more things for our community. Over all our organization has grown in leaps and bounds. At the moment we will be leasing the space, but we feel this is our first step to one day owning our own space. The building will allow us to have one designated location for donation drop offs. This building will also allow us to create more workshops for our youth and our moms. The building will be our new home and we need our community to help create a reserve for our monthly expenses. This gofund me would cover 4 months of leasing expenses and we are hoping will give us enough cushion to move in and start fundraising through different ways to keep going and growing. It is a very intimidating step but it was one that absolutley had to be made. Our organization is growing and that is a great thing.

We hope that you can help us as we have helped so many. No donation is too small, and we totally understand if you are not in a position to donate, we ask that you lift us in prayers and bless our movement. We firmly believe that God will make a way and if we continue to serve with our hearts and for all the right reasons then Adopt-A-MomEP will continue to flourish. Thank you all in advance.
