Aahan's Fund Raiser - Walk to Everest Base Camp

Dear Family and Friends,
Walk for Health, Walk for Life & Walk for Education -
Many of us have the basics in life - fun, food, friends, education in abundance, but some have to fight & struggle for things that we might take for granted. Opportunities may never cross their path because of the life they lead and the circumstances they face.
I am lucky enough to have many of the things we all take for granted, many opportunities to do what I want and to be able to explore my goals and dreams & I would like to help pave the path for those in need.
I, Aahan Korath currently a 9th grader from Stone Bridge High School am attempting to climb to Everest Base Camp from April 8th to April 23rd , 2022 to raise funds for helping the needy. I will be trekking for 15 days to reach the Everest Base Camp at heights of 5,364m, battling -20° wind chills, suffering altitude sickness and braving the world’s highest mountain.
Besides the personal sense of achievement this will give me, I would like to help raise funds to support two causes, one to support my local Loudoun County Shelter and Children's National Hospital and the other to support the local schools in Nepal so that they can buy books/tablets and set up an educational program for learning coding for the many underprivileged children that live in the mountains.
In addition, when in Nepal, I will be doing an in-person course teaching the local children basic scratch programming. The program will include me providing the children with a continued learning opportunity via remote sessions even after I return from Nepal
I am reaching out to local businesses, families and friends that encourage endurance and would like to support causes that could make dreams come true for those in need thereby giving back to my community that I live in.
My fundraising goal is $5,000 and I will donate 100% of all funds raised. It is my hope that you will be able to support my endeavor to succeed! Your generosity will make it possible for my goals to be achieved and for this my family and I will always be very grateful.
