I'm Joel Miller. In January 2025, I retired as Linn County Auditor (Iowa) after nearly 18 years of service. I’m a U.S. Army veteran, a former Mayor of Robins, and a proud resident of that community, where I live with my wife of 48 years. We are the blessed parents of three adult, married children and nine grandchildren.

I believe—without a doubt—that the Holy Spirit has called me into action. There’s no other explanation for what has stirred in me: the founding of America Needs Babies Foundation (ANBF).

ANBF’s mission is to eliminate the economic reasons women choose abortion. We’re raising funds to purchase and operate a mobile medical clinic equipped with an ultrasound machine, offering free pregnancy confirmations and real support to women in crisis.

Many women say they choose abortion because they can’t afford a child, lack housing or transportation, or don’t have support from a partner, family, or community. They can’t envision a path to success—for themselves or their unborn child—a year from now. It’s even harder to imagine returning to work or preparing their child for school.

We aim to address those needs—starting with one mother and one child—from pregnancy through early childhood and beyond.

Our mobile clinic will go where women are: college campuses, concerts, sporting events, underserved neighborhoods, and remote towns. For many, seeing their baby on an ultrasound is the moment everything changes.

A verse that guides me in this mission is:

“Open your mouth on behalf of the mute, and for the rights of the destitute; open your mouth, judge justly, defend the needy and the poor!” – Proverbs 31:8

That’s what we intend to do—for mothers who feel alone, and for babies whose lives are at risk.
