A Girl Like Me Inc is on a mission to expand hope, healing, and empowerment to Jackson, Mississippi—and we need your help to make it happen.

For years, A Girl Like Me Inc has successfully served girls, women, and families in Detroit, providing mentorship, life skills, emotional support, and community resources that change lives. Now, we are ready to replicate this proven model in Jackson, a city with incredible resilience but limited access to safe, consistent empowerment spaces.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to purchase a space in Jackson, Mississippi that will be transformed into a community empowerment hub—a safe, welcoming space where girls and women can grow, heal, learn, and thrive.

The Jackson Empowerment Hub will serve as:

A safe space for girls and young women

A mentorship and life-skills center

A hub for workshops, healing circles, and leadership development

A place for community resources, support services, and outreach programs

We are bringing the same programs, values, and impact that have already changed lives in Detroit—tailored to meet the unique needs of the Jackson community.A Girl Like Me Inc. offers:

Free baby items (i.e., diapers, wipes, bottles, baby milk and food, clothing)

Classes - Childbirth, Parenting, Lunch & Learns, CPR-First Aid, Nutrition and Cart Seat Safety

Free self-care kits for our Girls, Teens, Teen Moms, and Moms

Free resources on various services

Mentoring program for our Girls, Teens, and Teen Moms where we focus on the topics listed below:

Finances/ Budgeting

Family/ Friend Relationships

Mental Health

Nutrition

Personal Hygiene
