Dear friends and loved ones:
As some of you may know, I have suffered a few health problems these past few months. I am at a loss as to what I can do anymore to support my family financially, so I hopelessly come to you.
My EEG and MRI are now scheduled due to my falls. For a few months my doctors has said that due to my falling down, problems with coordination, and forgetfulness; he suspects I have Multiple Sclerosis. The MRI department will not take my insurance upfront. They will not see me unless I put 50% down, which is a $3,298 before the procedure is done, and whatever portion the insurance doesn't pay, will be taken from that 50%. NOTE: as of 8/18/14 I received a notice stating that what I have to pay upfront is actually lower, it is now $3,167.
I am the mother of three children, 2 sons and a daughter. I lost my job in February and have been able to substitute about 3-4 times per week. During this summer, I got my dream job, a Family Advocate for the Early Start Program, although it is only 8 hours a week (right now) I will still be able to sub for a few days here and there.
These past few months have been physically difficult. My two youngest children want me to play with them, but I can only sit and watch. They want to go on walks, go to the beach, etc., but it is too much of a risk. My dr. has taken away my drivers' license.
If my friends on facebook all donated between $10 - $18, I would be able to see the specialist and have the MRI. Without this fund, I simply will not be able to have the tests or the medical treatment I need to live a safe life (without falling).
I do realize that my health should come first, I just want a roof over my childrens' head. I want them to not be hungry this summer. I want to have my test(s) done in confidence, not worried that our electricity is going to be shut off once I get home.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I plan on paying it forward one day very soon. So please, if you can, please help.
