My name is Andre Matthew, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency. Jamaica has just faced one of the most devastating storms in recent history — Hurricane Melissa. What was once our home, our safe haven, has been torn apart overnight.
Entire communities are underwater. Roads are gone. Homes have been ripped from their foundations. Families have lost everything — not just their belongings, but their sense of safety and hope. Many people are still without food, clean water, or electricity. Children are sleeping in shelters, elders are struggling to access medication, and the future feels uncertain for so many.
I’m creating this GoFundMe because we can’t rebuild alone. The scale of destruction is beyond what our local resources can handle. But together, we can make a difference.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward food supplies, clean drinking water, clothing, rebuilding materials, and emergency aid for families who need it most.
This isn’t just about rebuilding homes — it’s about restoring hope. It’s about standing with Jamaica in our time of need and showing that compassion has no borders.
If you’ve ever visited Jamaica, if you have friends or family here, or if you simply believe in helping others when disaster strikes — please consider donating or sharing this campaign.
Your support, no matter how small, can put a roof back over someone’s head, feed a hungry child, or bring comfort to a family that’s lost everything.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening, for caring, and for standing with Jamaica as we rebuild after Hurricane Melissa.
Together, we can rise again.
