Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I am asking for help on behalf of my older brother, who is currently detained in an ICE facility. On Saturday, June 28, 2025, around 9 a.m we received a call from my brother stating the driver was pulled over and was afraid it was his time. The sheriff questioned my brother with no valid reason; other than because of his color. My brother was simply heading to work—like he does every day to provide for his family—when he was unfairly detained by ICE as a passenger in a vehicle. My brother doesn’t have a criminal record, he’s never been pulled over or had a ticket. My brother pays his taxes and has done nothing to harm anyone. He has his little girls that depend on their dad and ask where their daddy is at every single day.

This has been devastating for us. My brother has been in the United States for over two decades, since he was just 2 years old. This is the only home he has ever known. He is a loving and devoted family man, a hard worker who never hesitates to help anyone in need, and someone who has always done everything possible to provide for his loved ones.

Now, he is separated from his family, and we are doing everything we can to fight for him and bring him home where he belongs. His detention has left us heartbroken, and it’s difficult to see someone so hardworking and kind treated this way.
