I am Ms Rose, and i am attempting to raise funds for my Aunt and my Cousin abroad.

My family in Jamaica has been hit with unimaginable loss after Hurricane Melissa tore through their community, leaving destruction that they are still struggling to comprehend. Two homes (one belonging to my aunt and the other to my cousin) have been severely damaged, with the roofs on both houses collapsing entirely under the force of the hurricane.

What the storm didn’t knock down, it destroyed with heavy debris, flooding, and water damage. Clothes, furniture, beds, living supplies, appliances, nearly everything they owned has been ruined. They are now left with unstable structures, unsafe living conditions, and almost nothing salvageable inside.

These homes have sheltered our family for decades, and watching them fall apart in a short space of time has been heartbreaking.

Rebuilding even one house after a hurricane is overwhelming, rebuilding two is almost impossible without support.

I am raising £10,000 in total:
