Campaign for Change - Local Elections 2019

Donation protected
I am running as an independent candidate in the upcoming local elections, which are taking place on May 24th. With your help I want to represent the Milford Local Electoral Area on Donegal County Council.

I am passionate about the potential of our communities, and about the potential of this part of Donegal. I believe we deserve better representation, which is worthy of this unique place we call home.
I'm running on a community platform, which means I want my campaign and my term in office, should I be elected, to be about empowering communities through collaborative and constructive representation. My campaign over the coming weeks will be a campaign for change in Donegal.

The last local election took place in 2014. A lot has changed internationally and in Ireland since then, but little has changed locally in Donegal. We cannot afford another five years of the same tired complacency from our county councillors, while Donegal, but particularly the Milford Electoral Area, continues to be left behind.

Get involved in the campaign for change and help achieve real difference for the Milford Electoral Area!

Key priorities for my campaign:
- Fighting for Infrastructure: roads, public transport, broadband and public amenities like community centres and sports facilities
- Empowering Communities:  increased funding for community groups, working with individuals, groups and businesses to achieve the fullest potential of this area
- Transparency: clear and accessible communication, outlining exactly how money - and time - is spent
- Integrity: adhering to the highest standards in public office and not accepting corporate or business donations
- Housing: increased investment in public housing stocks, and the maintenance of existing stocks to get better value for money, while still providing for those who need support.
- Arts, Culture and Tourism: working towards an increase in funding for arts and culture projects, as well as community and arts festivals to attract further tourism to the area
- Environment: we need to tackle the scourge of illegal dumping in the county by investing more in awareness, enforcement and prevention, as a vital part of protecting our vital eco-systems and beautiful landscape.

Any and all support would be very appreciated. I am crowdfunding my campaign, which means I am not accepting business or corporate donations. That means any and all money I receive comes with no strings attached. This is part of my commitment to running with integrity.
