About Autism:
Autism Spectrum Disorders are prevalent in our society, affecting 1 in 59 children and about 1 in 37 boys in the US. Thorough healthcare and community support can be hard to come by. We want to give those who are affected the support that is often lacking due to the stigmas surrounding autism and other mental illnesses.
About Spectrum:
Spectrum: Autism at Cal is a completely student-run club on campus and all profits from the fundraiser will go directly to the local non-profits. Some of these organizations our donations go to include Inclusive World, BORP, Special Needs Aquatic Program, and more. We also aim to increase autism awareness in the local community by hosting on-campus events and providing volunteering opportunities.
