Support a Single Mom and Her Autistic Son
Donation protected
My mom is more important to me than anyone in my life. She has always supported everything I do and has never hesitated to help me and many others through hard times. She has never once asked for help and was even very hesitant when I told her I was going to make this GoFundMe. She said "Isn't that only for emergencies!?"....yes! and this is an emergency! Right now, she is facing an incredibly difficult time, her landlord is evicting her. She is a single mother taking care of my adolescent autistic brother. Her landlord gave her a 3 months notice to leave her home that she has been in for 14 years and she was not prepared for this. This is the very tip of the iceberg. This man has taken advantage of her kindness left and right. This person has done absolutely nothing to maintain the property my mom lives on and over the last few years it has come to a head where his negligence has even been effecting her and my brothers health. He has started blaming all of the issues on her. He was literally fixing their pipes with supplies from the dollar store. Last winter this property had a significant sewer and gas leak that has led to my mother and brother having very scary health issues. Since then the landlord has decided it was her fault (code enforcement said otherwise). Essentially she has felt trapped there because she has been trying to leave but has been dealing with health issues and also her slumlord land lord which created setbacks. I created this GoFundMe because she needs help relocating on such short notice and will also need to take a significant amount of time off work soon to deal with health issues created by mold from her current housing situation. I know I have a lot of friends that have felt my mothers kindness, and I also have friends that care for me. I do not need help, but it pains me that I cannot fix this situation for my mom.
If you are able to help at all it would mean the world to me and my family.
Thank you.
