Hello everyone I finally did it, on Monday I climbed Mount Snowdon, along with my Mum and Dad !

The day started with rain but I was still excited. Thankfully the weather cleared up before we started up the mountain. We went up along the Pyg track which was 3.5 miles challenging and steep, sometimes having to scramble up the rocks on all fours. When we got to the top it was very cold with no visibility so unfortunately I couldn't see the views I'd heard about. On the way down we used the Miners track which was beautiful because we got to walk next to the lakes. Overall it was around 8 miles and my feet were very sore but it was an amazing experience!!! I just want to thank everyone for their support, not just in donations but also for the lovely messages. I can't wait for my next climb :D

Hello, my name is Rowan and next July I’m going to Kenya for 4 weeks but not on holiday! I’m going on an expedition with Camps International to do environmental, community and conservation work. This will involve things like helping to build houses, schools, elephant fences and deworming goats. Whilst I am there I will also get a chance to go on safari for a day and to take part in a 5-day trek to the top of Mount Kenya (the bit I’m most excited about!) which is the second highest peak in Kenya.

One of the biggest challenges for me will be being away from home for 4 weeks without being able to contact my family. Another big challenge is to raise the money to go on this trip. I’m doing lots of things to help me do this but the hardest will be climbing Mount Snowdon. I’ll be doing this in the summer (for once I’m excited about walking lol). I’m hoping lots of you will support me by donating as much or as little as you can. I really appreciate it. ❤️

If I beat my target I will donate the rest of the money to The Red Cross.
