An activist, a swimmer, and a filmmaker from SWANA. They repeatedly faced persecution and police violence in their country of origin for their courageous fight for LGBTQIA+ rights and for being proudly trans in sports, media, and art world as much as in public spaces. Papatya is also a conscientious objector, making it impossible to return to the country of origin without being forced to take part in obligatory military duty or detention/imprisonment and so on.
