Mission Malawi 2025

Support My Mission: Help Me Fundraise for Mission Malawi 2025!
In March 2025, I will be embarking to Malawi as part of Mission Malawi 2025 – a charity challenge that will help bring hope and support to orphans whose lives have been devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. But to make this happen, I need your support!

Why I’m Taking on This Challenge
Over a million children in Malawi have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS, leaving them without family, care, or support. We're lucky that in the UK HIV is no longer a death sentence, and although there is still a long way to go here with stigma and prejudice towards positive people, it would mean a lot to me to help other communities ravaged by this disease in the way our LGBT+ community was. Sadly, taking a daily PrEP pill is not an option fo so many people around the world.

This year, some work colleagues and I have decided to take part in the Mission Malawi 2025 challenge to make a real difference for these children. I will be joining an amazing team to hike, cycle, and kayak across Malawi while visiting the projects we’re supporting. It’s going to be tough, but it’s going to be worth it to help these orphans get a better start in life and a brighter future.

For 21 years, Mission Malawi has been raising funds to provide these children with food, healthcare, education, and a chance for a brighter future. Since 2004, Mission Malawi has raised over £750,000, helping to build orphan day care centres, support community projects, and transform lives.

How You Can Help
To participate in this challenge, I need to raise £3,000 by March 2025, and that’s where you come in! Every donation – big or small – will directly fund vital programs that provide essential care, education, and hope to orphans in Malawi.

The Physical Challenge:
Cycling 500km over 5 days
Hiking up Mount Mulanje
Kayaking across Lake Malawi to Mumbo Island
Spending the last 3 to 4 days in Dowa, building accommodation for teachers at the orphans' school.

Why Donate?
Your donation goes directly to those in need: All funds raised will directly support children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, providing them with food, education, and healthcare.
I’ll be there in person, ensuring your donations help with hands-on assistance to change lives, alongside a charity which works tirelessly all year round.
By supporting me, you become a vital part of this mission to bring hope to a generation of children in need.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support. Every donation counts, and every penny will go towards changing lives.
