Help Get Isabel to Japan
Hi everyone! I've been offered an amazing opportunity to go teach English in Japan. I've accepted the job offer, but now I need to raise the funds in order to get myself started on my journey!
I gave them November as my departure month and I requested an urban (versus suburban or rural) placement, so at the moment I only have a general offer of employment. Once they find an urban branch that's in need of a native English teacher AND that opens up around my ideal departure date, I'll be on my way!
Here's what I need the funds for:
· purchasing 2-3 more pairs of suits/business apparel
· airfare to Japan (approx. $900)
· cost of living for the first month
I need to raise funds because the first paycheck may be delayed (as it is with almost all jobs at which I've worked) and I'd only get paid once a month. I need to be able to stretch the money until I start getting in regular pay.
Why do I need you?
Right now I've got regular employment, but I'm paying bills and repaying student loans, which is making saving for Japan a little difficult. My goal is fairly large but I'm hoping that the more I get, the less likely I'll be absolutely broke after my first few weeks in Japan.
The cost of housing, utilities, and health insurance is automatically taken out of my paycheck each month; however, once I'm there, not only do I have the aforementioned deductions, but I've still got to continue making the payments I've got now. Any amount that you can contribute would be a big help! Please help me make my dream of teaching abroad and traveling come true!
What are the rewards available?
