A few guys from Rathpeacon GAA were really missing the after match banter in the local pub, so much so that they started up The Pint-cast (www.pint-cast.com). On a Sunday evening the Pint-cast crew would fire up Zoom, pour a pint, or two and have a virtual chat with a local legend about, well, stuff.
Recently we had a really great Pint-cast with the well known O'Neill family from Rathpeacon GAA. During the chat, the topic of Donal O'Neill's flowing hair came up. Lockdown had been very kind to Donal's hair and The Pint-cast crew were divided on whether he looked like a young Paul McCartney or the very dapper Elvis from Fireman Sam.
Since we published the O'Neill Pint-cast on www.pint-cast.com, the topic of Donal's mop has grown legs, arms and everything in between, so much so that the O'Neill brothers and the Pint-cast crew have agreed that, if we raise €5,000 for two really greats causes, Blarney Meals on Wheels & Marymount Hospice, once the wonderful barbers of Cork reopen, we'll shave off our ever lengthening thatch i.e, our hair.
This is no mean feat, as some of us are at a point that, if we shave it off, it may very well never grow back!!
So dig deep and make sure that these fine men are going to lose their mops for very good causes. For more info check out
Also if you would like to join the Shaveitoff team and raise some funds for these great charities please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get you up and running.
