Update: 9/29/2025
Our dear Ruth passed last Friday morning, much to our surprise. We were ready to fight the good fight and do whatever was necessary to save her life, and we're saddened and surprised to see when we woke up after a long night that she was no longer with us. The void we feel will never be replaced, which we accept. We are immensely grateful that she was able to pass on her own, lying close to her papa and best friend, with all of us showering her with love throughout the night. Ruth lived wonderful life - and brought sparks of light and love to everyone who encountered her. All of your generous donations that we're going towards the medical expenses are deeply, deeply appreciated. It's not just helpful to us financially, it also helps us feel held and supported, and is a real reflection of love and support from our friends and family all over. Thank you for showing your care and respect to our dear Ruth dog.

Our rock, our sage, our sweet angel who we can barely even call a dog because she is so majestic, is suffering and awaiting possible radiation to help reduce a benign tumor. The doctors say she has more years left in her if this treatment goes well. She is not an old pup yet and still has many years to go, and she is putting up a fight to get better - and so are we!

With a baby on the way, chasing a vivacious a toddler and starting a new business - the bills are a lot more than we were prepared for. With all these transitions, one we were certainly not anticipating was Ruthie needing urgent medical help. This is why we are asking for financial help from our loving friends and family to donate to help Ruthie. Just since last week, we've spent approximately 10K on urgent care, medication, analysis, and finally identifying the tumor. She is being taken care of by some of the best K9 Internists and veterinarians in Vermont. Now we're looking at another 10K for her official treatment (not including travel, lodging, etc). We know it may seem crazy to some, but we will do whatever we can to help our Ruthie heal up - and the doctors are reassuring that with the right therapy there is a golden opportunity to provide her with more years of vitality and life.

We believe in Ruthie and are showering her with love and encouragement. She is now home in a somewhat stable state but still bedridden, and its time to jump into action. With the doctors help we are sorting out medical appointments, treatment and next steps so we can get her back to feeling like herself. We have always referred to her as our medicine dog, and now it's our turn to give back the best we can.

Your help means the world to us. Thank you <3

ps. We will keep you updated on this journey, and are immensely grateful for the outpouring of prayers and support so far
