My 9 month old niece is fighting for her life. She has been struggling with health issues since birth. All the hardships this is causing her family is heartbreaking to see. My brother (her father) has been by her bedside without fail. Mckenna was first diagnosed with cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus and Chiara malformation type 1. These were all told to the parents this past July and Mckenna is already on hospital stay number 4 since then. The doctors are now telling them that Mckenna has a rare form of epilepsy that has no cure and is difficult to treat. Severe myoclonic epilepsy of infancy, specific to SCN8 SYNDROME. As a parent myself these words are so incredibly overwhelming. Mckenna's mother was already struggling with the recent loss of her brother due to covid. Now to have a severely sick child while trying to juggle Mckenna's twin brother and her 4 year old brother. Jill is being pushed to the limit. Mckenna has been put in a medically induced coma because the hospital has not been able to control her seizures. To see such a tiny soul suffer like this. Any help anyone can spare to help the family with hospital bills and everything else they are facing with such a severe diagnosis will be greatly appreciated. Mckenna is a twin and the family is already struggling with a 60k NICU bill. Please share we need help.
