Support Michele Seiler’s Health Journey After Surgery
Spende geschützt
My name is Kimberly McDwyer. I have started this GoFundMe campaign to help my dear sister, Michele Seiler, access the resources she desperately needs to improve her health and quality of life. Life can be tough, and it’s even more challenging when serious health issues limit what you can do, especially when finances make it difficult to get the help you need.
Michele has faced a long history of health challenges, but she remains strong and determined to find ways to improve her health. However, the road has become even more difficult. Recently, Michele received some unbelievable news: After over 17 years of being diagnosed and treated for Ankylosing Spondylitis and Lupus, she was told that these diagnoses were incorrect. She’s consulted 2 rheumatologist and both agree she has been misdiagnosed. She is now working with a new team of doctors to uncover the true underlying issues and find the correct treatment.
This setback has been difficult for Michele, but the real challenge began after a major health scare. Following two failed leg angiograms, Michele underwent an artery bypass surgery for her left leg. Unfortunately, the situation was worse than expected. Two of her arteries were severely blocked, described as "like concrete," and were unable to be cleared. Fortunately, surgery was successful on the third artery, potentially saving her leg. However, complications arose, and Michele developed a blood clot that required a second surgery just 10 days later. She is now experiencing delayed healing and is eager to move forward.
In addition to these complications, Michele has been diagnosed with atherosclerosis and peripheral artery disease, which has caused blockages in her abdomen and a 50% blockage in the “widowmaker” artery of her heart. These conditions cannot be reversed, but with the right treatment, including lifestyle changes, diet, exercise, and medical care, Michele can slow the progression of these diseases.
Unfortunately, Michele has been on disability since 2011, and many of the resources she needs for her recovery are out of reach due to financial limitations. That’s where you come in. By supporting Michele, you can help provide her with the tools and resources she needs to improve her health and maintain a higher quality of life.
How Your Donation Can Help:
1 Electric Bike: Biking is a low-impact exercise that can improve blood flow, increase endurance, and help strengthen muscles.
2 Yoga Classes: Yoga will reduce stress, improve cardiovascular health, and complement her exercise regimen.
3 Personal Trainer: Michele has muscle weakness and difficulty walking. A personal trainer will help her build strength, reduce pain, and improve her overall mobility.
4 Healthy Foods: With limited income, Michele struggles to afford the healthy foods she needs. Your donation will support her food budget for nutritious meals.
5 Miscellaneous: Michele has a part-time job that helps her finances, but with the challenges she’s facing, this income has been reduced. Donations will help bridge the gap which will help mental and physical wellbeing.
Michele has always been independent, and it’s not easy for her to ask for help. However, these resources are critical for her recovery and future well-being. Your support—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference in her life.
How to Donate: Donations will be sent directly to Michele’s son, Colin Seiler, who will manage the funds for her health and well-being.
Thank you for your time, your support, and your kindness in helping Michele navigate this challenging journey. Your generosity will make a lasting impact on her life.
