My name is Laura and I am a mom to 9 amazing kiddos. I am the sole provider for my family. I recently suffered a stroke unexpectedly after one of my shifts at work. I have been hospitalized, and this has come at the most inopportune time. I'm in my last quarter of my LPN to RN program and have already been working fewer hours than usual, due to multiple hours of practicum for school. Due to this medical emergency, I've had to take the rest of August off of work. I don't currently qualify for Paid WA Leave as I have already used my allotted hours when my son had surgery. I don't have PTO currently either as I've used it to help with covering my practicum hours. This has been an extremely hard year and I don't like to ask for help, but I'm now in a circumstance of needing to.

Our rent payment didn't go through for August due to insufficient funds, and the fees just continue to accrue, along with being unable to pay our other bills and becoming short of groceries and gas. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
