<div>My name is Laura and I am a mom to 9 amazing kiddos. I am the sole provider for my family. I recently suffered a stroke unexpectedly after one of my shifts at work. I have been hospitalized, and this has come at the most inopportune time. <strong>I'm in my last quarter of my LPN to RN program and have already been working fewer hours than usual, due to multiple hours of practicum for school.</strong> Due to this medical emergency, I've had to take the rest of August off of work. I don't currently qualify for Paid WA Leave as I have already used my allotted hours when my son had surgery. I don't have PTO currently either as I've used it to help with covering my practicum hours. This has been an extremely hard year and I don't like to ask for help, but I'm now in a circumstance of needing to.
