On September 8th, 2025, Nepal witnessed a heartbreaking tragedy. Peaceful protests led by young people turned violent, and 17 innocent lives were lost yet . Many more were injured while standing up for justice, freedom, and a better future for our country.
These were not just protesters — they were sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters of Nepal. Their families are now left grieving, while also facing heavy financial burdens for funerals, medical treatment, and survival without their loved ones.
My name is Dipak Bohara, and I am originally from Nepal but now living in Manchester, UK. I am not a direct relative of the victims, but I am raising funds on behalf of the affected families. This is a community-led effort to support those who have lost everything in this tragedy.
How the funds will be transferred:
As GoFundMe requires, all donations will first be withdrawn into my UK bank account. From there, I will transfer the money directly to trusted representatives and community organizations in Nepal who are supporting the victims’ families. I will provide updates and proof of transfers to ensure full transparency.
How the funds will be used:
Medical treatment for those who were injured
Direct financial assistance to families who lost their loved ones
We cannot bring back those we have lost, but together, we can help their families heal and know they are not alone.
Please donate what you can.
Please share this campaign with your friends and networks.
For the people. By the people. For Nepal. ✊
