Support my uncle and his family.

Hello!

I am writing this on behalf of my uncle (Alpay Ilhan). He is a farmer in Turkey and in a very desperate situation. Like most farmers, he does not have any stable monthly income and he depends on selling dairy and crops to get by. Because of the current economic turmoil in Turkey (The official inflation rate is 70% and some NGOs estimate it to be around 150%, the highest in the world by far), he has already sold his livestock to pay his debts but he still has some credit debts. He also has two kids, one in high school and the other in middle school. They are studying in a nearby city because there are no schools in the village my uncle lives in, so he needs to provide accommodation for them in the city which also increases his expenses drastically.

He needs your help to make an initial investment to buy 3 cows to create a revenue stream by selling milk daily. Right now, one cow which can produce 20 liters of milk per day costs around 2000 Euros (35000 Turkish Liras), and one liter of milk can be sold at around 0.5 Euro(8 TL). His plan is to sell 60 liters of milk per day and create 900 Euros revenue per month. He estimates around 400 Euros would cover the expenses for the cows and the remaining 500 Euros per month would mean the world to him and his family.

This “Go Fund me” is set up to help him provide for his family. The goal is set as 7000 Euros for 3 cows + 1000 Euro buffer because of the fluctuations in EUR/TRY exchange rate and high inflation in Turkey.
