Support Amanda's Fight Against Cancer

Hello,

My name is Jeff Lamb. I am incredibly lucky to have married a beautiful, caring, and selfless person, Amanda. She has been an elementary school teacher for 8 years. We have been blessed with two amazing kids of our own. Billy, 14 and Emma, 12. Both play travel soccer where Amanda is currently a board member with our local club. Unfortunately in October of 2022 Amanda was diagnosed with a somewhat rare form of cancer named neuroendocrine carcinoid tumors which affects the organs in her body. She has had two previous surgeries to reduce the tumors in her liver where the doctors believe this started. Recently Amanda needed open heart surgery to replace her tricuspid valve. While the surgery itself went well, she suffered four strokes as a result. Amanda was in a coma for four and a half days and didn’t have any movement on the left side of her body. She has a long road to recovery, but we are going to stay strong and positive. We were somewhat reluctant to start a Go Fund Me page before because we were able to make ends meet with the help of family and friends. Also, Amanda was still able to teach, other then the two previous surgeries on her liver and our family was still covered under the school board insurance. Unfortunately the recents events has left her unable to continue her passion of teaching young children in the near future. We realize that we are not alone in this fight against cancer and times are tough to provide for families of their own.
