Deep in my being, I wrestle with a torrent of emotions – fear, hesitation, and overwhelming guilt. But amidst this inner turmoil, one undeniable truth emerges: the urgent necessity of protecting my dear family.
I am Muhammad Abu Taha, a 21-year-old living in Belgium. I am facing an urgent and heartbreaking challenge: helping my family escape from Gaza through the Rafah Crossing.
We have lost everything we owned — our house, car, crops, and income. We have no other means of livelihood. And now, we do not even know if we will lose our lives next. This mission is not an ordinary challenge; it is a looming nightmare, requiring huge costs far beyond the means of an ordinary person.

Why I Need Your Help
Exiting through the Rafah crossing costs more than €5,000 per person, and sometimes even more if the case is urgent or requires documentation, not to mention other expenses.
In every war around the world, escape and survival are possible options. But in Gaza, the siege stands like prison walls, forcing everyone to face their fate in unimaginable ways. There is indiscriminate bombing that kills civilians, there is fear that never leaves, and there is hunger that eats away at both body and soul.
I cannot stand by and watch my family suffer any longer. Your support and assistance can be a ray of hope amid the genocide we are living in.
Your donation will help save lives — and time is not on our side. Every minute matters.

How the Money Will Be Used
1. Obtaining passports for 10 family members (€100–€120 each): €1,100
2. Payment to Hala Company (to cross Rafah):
• 7 adults × €5,000 = €35,000
• 3 children × €2,500 = €7,500
3. Rent for 3 apartments (for 3 families) for one year: ≈ €9,600
4. Medical care for my father and the child Malik: €300 × 12 = €3,600
5. Travel costs for me to go to Egypt to handle payments: €1,500–€2,000
6. Living expenses (food, clothes, essentials) for 3 families: 3 × €500 × 12 = €18,000
7. Future education costs for the children after relocation
8. GoFundMe fees: ≈ €3,000

My Family’s Story
My family consists of my dear father Ahmed, who suffers from chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure — conditions that make it impossible for him to bear the harsh situation in Gaza — and my beloved mother Iman, may God protect her.
I also have my two brothers Asaad and Akram, their families, and my little sister Rital, the youngest in our family, whose innocent childhood has been stolen by the sounds of war and fear.
• Asaad’s family: his wife Rawan and their children Zain and Mira.
• Akram’s family: his wife Doha and their children Sila (born during the war) and Rami, who suffers from ADHD and needs special medical and educational support.
Tragically, my brother Akram was injured in his right eye during the war and has completely lost his vision in that eye. Despite this devastating injury, he remains strong for his family, trying to stay hopeful while enduring enormous pain and loss.
Both of my brothers have lost their jobs — Akram worked in medical analysis and owned two laboratories, while Asaad worked in a bank that was destroyed.
They are devoted fathers and husbands, doing everything possible to protect their children and give them a chance to live in peace — to prove to the world that they are not just numbers, but human beings with dreams, dignity, and the right to live.

Displacement and Current Situation
My family was living in Khan Younis (Al-Zannah) when their apartment was bombed. They miraculously survived, thank God.
They then spent two weeks in Bani Suhaila Preparatory School, where the situation was unbearable — overcrowded bathrooms, disease, filth, and a complete lack of basic resources.
Later, they moved to Al-Amal neighborhood, where life was equally harsh with severe shortages of food and water.
When the bombing threats reached Rafah, they were forced to flee again to Deir al-Balah and Al-Zawaida, where they are now trapped in extremely dangerous and miserable conditions.
I can no longer delay. The cost of evacuating them is far beyond my ability, and the pain of being unable to help them is beyond words.
