Hello , my name is Madeline and I am asking help to raise funds so that I may get a used vehicle to help us with everyday needs to travel to the store, doctors, school, and specialists. I have been a single mom of two autistic kids raising them and doing everything financially myself for a very long time trying to do the best especially after being a DV victim for over 7 years. I live in Tobyhanna, PA and in order to get around , you need a vehicle. I maintain my household finances with our disability which includes maintaining a house, utilities (water, sewer, electricity, wifi ) a phone, and then to get to a store ($15 each way, doctor $50 each way) , school ($20 each way: for meetings or emergency) I take an Uber . Most of my kids doctors are 20to 50 miles away , especially specialists they sometimes need to see. By the time I do all this monthly, I have nothing to save towards a car. I’m not looking for anything extravagant, just to get from A to B and it’s safe for the kids. This month was especially hard with school starting and anything extra went to school sneakers, uniforms and supplies.
