Hello,
Thank you to everyone who reads my story and my family's story.
My name is Karam, I live in Berlin and this is a message from my mother:
“I am Hadeel from the Al Rashid area in Gaza overlooking the sea.
The recent conflict has turned my life and the life of my family upside down, leaving us displace and struggling in a small tent in Rafah. But the occupation requested a new displacement from Rafah to Deir al Balah.
I lost my home and my dreams. I lost my dear husband too. I don't want to lose anyone else from my family.
I suffer from diabetes and high blood pressure. I have pain in my back and it’is not suitable for me living in a tent.
I can’t have the disease to relapse but now care and medication are not available, so it could happen very easily.
In the chaos of war, hunger and thirst, we were forced to leave everything behind: the house and everything that was inside is now destroyed. We now face an uncertain and sad future, where we have neither food nor money, and the pain of living is a constant reminder of our dire situation. I remember fondly the days before the war, when happiness appeared on our faces as we ate a meal with my family in our beautiful house - a house that was in ruins and uninhabitable.
The reality now is that we desperately need help to start over and rebuild our lives outside Gaza.
My niece is 9 years old and is injured and has platinum in her bone.
I am reaching out to you for donations that can help us get out of Gaza as quickly as possible. For me and my family.”
-Hadeel Nimr Al-Sharif
My mom, one young sister, one brother, his wife and their injured daughter want to cross the Rafah Gate.
The rest of the family, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, their spouses and children, want to stay in Gaza and desperately need to rebuild at least one house because living in tents is not sustainable anymore.
Any donation at this moment is helpful, no matter how small it is: I will be forever grateful.
Thank you
