We're raising funds to help bring my grandfather, David Augustine, home after a difficult journey with multiple health challenges. If you know David, you know he's a strong-willed, caring man who’s always been there for his community and loved ones.
Over the past decade, David has faced serious medical issues, including polyneuropathy, Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, melanoma, and most recently spinal surgery that has left him with
severely limited mobility. Despite his determination and daily effort in physiotherapy, he now requires specialized equipment and home modifications to live safely and comfortably.
To return home, David will need an electric wheelchair, a wheeled commode, a hospital bed, a Sara Steady (transfer aid), and a wheelchair lift. On top of that, renovations are needed to make the house accessible. Until those changes are made, he’ll be staying at The Willows of Fort Erie following his release on July 31, 2025.
The costs are overwhelming for our family, and we’re asking for support to make David’s return home possible. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to making that happen.
