Hi, my name is Sophia, and I am working toward earning my Eagle Scout rank. For my Eagle Scout project, I am raising $3,000 to build and install handicap-accessible picnic tables for Saint Mary’s Home. Saint Mary’s mission is to provide a good life by expanding horizons for individuals with diverse abilities through care, compassion, and community. Saint Mary’s Home has been a meaningful part of my life for many years—my mom has worked there for as long as I can remember. Because of that connection, I’ve seen how important it is for residents to have safe, inclusive spaces where they can relax, enjoy the outdoors, share meals, and spend time with family and staff. This project will create a welcoming outdoor area that is accessible to everyone, regardless of mobility challenges. These picnic tables will allow residents in wheelchairs and with other disabilities to fully participate and feel included. I am asking for your support to help make this project possible.
