Hi my name is Angela and at 8 o’clock on Friday night my stepbrother Ricky Lee Jones-Cound was found unresponsive in his cell. He was only 22 and had a full life ahead of him. The Hakea prison staff were notified that he should have been put on suicide watch but unfortunately cry’s for help were not heard. This has shattered our family. He was more than just another black death in custody he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a grandson and a good friend to many. We are broken from this tragedy and I’m doing this so we can give him the send off he deserves.
