Auld Twinkle Toes, AKA Unison Glasgow Clyde & CVS Treasurer James Kirkpatrick, is hitting the Strictly Come Dancing Ballroom in order to raise money for Unison's Welfare Charity "There For You".
James has never danced a day in his life and self-reportedly has two left feet, but on Saturday 1st June 2024, James will take part in "Step Up For Charity 2024" and will be partnered with a professional dancer who he will perform a dance routine with on the night.
He's excited and nervous at the same time but can't wait for the chance to take part in this great event and raise money for Unison's fantastic Welfare Charity.
There For You supports Unison members right up and down the UK who are in difficult times. Now more than ever, There For You is seeing unprecedented referrals for people who are in-work and can't make ends meet. Many of our Branch members have benefited from the charity and have been helped out of financial despair. Quite simply there has never been a more important time for the work this charity does.
Branch Secretary Cathy Miller always ensures our Branch gives generously to There For You, but James has decided to take the next "Step Up" and channel his inner Fred Astaire!
He can't guarantee it'll be pretty - but it'll give everyone a laugh at the next AGM!
