Souls of Christ Uganda Orphanage

We are currently collecting funds for the children's schooling, food, and medical supplies. Education is emphasized at Souls of Christ Uganda because we know through teaching our young people we can change their lives.

Your generous donations allowed us to pay the rent throughout the rest of 2023. With that said, we still have monthly bills to care for our 54 angels and we rely on the support of kind, generous souls. Who We Are...

Soul of Christ Ministries has been helping destitute, abandoned, and vulnerable children of Mityana Municipality in Uganda, Africa. 

All donations go towards providing a safe, happy environment and provisions so the orphans of Uganda and vulnerable children of Uganda can thrive, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Every child deserves a full bully, a warm bed, and a loving community. 

All proceeds go straight to the children and their needs. Funds are used for rent, food, shelter, necessities, medicine, and school supplies. Receipts for your donation are available from the orphanage as it is run through Souls of Christ Ministries, and it is an accredited orphanage in Uganda (Please find credentials on the website). Also, receipts for the exact items purchased with your donations are also available.

I am Gina Morresi, an anti-trafficking advocate who is actively involved in educating the public about the abuse being done to children while also raising funds to help vulnerable children. In my travels and within the anti-trafficking community, I became good friends with Gitta Simone, the operator of the orphanage as well as a prior child orphan himself. Through our discussions, I learned that he had started an orphanage which had 54 children in dire need of help, and this is when I chose to get involved, creating the website and handling donations, stateside, so as to help these children from being trafficked and or harmed.

In terms of the donations, all funds are withdrawn from here into a separate personal account that I have set up for the children and then the funds are sent directly to the orphanage within 2-5 days of the funds being posted as they need to be cleared by the bank. The funds are sent using World Remit which is an internationally known secure money transferring service, so the donations can be instantly transferred and used immediately. Gitta, the orphanage operator, receives the funds through World Remit and then provides receipts for donors for their donations and or receipts for specific items purchased for the children. We are working on creating a non-profit, stateside, to aid these children, but due to the pandemic everything has been delayed so we are currently sending funds directly to the children. A non-profit stateside is in the works of being created and will be in effect shortly. Until then, as I was concerned with the children's safety, I am doing the best I can to oversee the donations.
