As many of you know Meika tragically lost her husband and father of their two young boys in November.

Before Meika’s world was shattered by the news of this loss, she had been cooking a Thanksgiving Dinner for her husband and sons thinking they’d spend the holiday together.

Daniel’s place was set at the table, but would forever remain empty while Meika was left in the dark of his passing.

The circumstances of his passing were sudden and traumatic enough, but the manner in which Meika was kept in the dark and left to search for him on her own left her in shambles.

It was only after conducting her own frantic search due to his absence and resorting to filing a missing person’s report with the police that she discovered that Daniel had passed days before.

Those that were informed could have broken the news to her, but for reasons we will never understand, she was left in the dark.

While Daniel might be gone, his infectious spirit and his love for life are survived by his sons and his wife who remains committed to her role as a mother.

Meika has attempted to reach out for support to Daniel’s family and has been met with silence. She has been left to deal with the mental turmoil, emotional pain and the death of her husband and father of her children alone.

In the meantime, rent has increased and bills have been piling up while Meika has been silently drowning. Her sole priority has been her sons as they deal with the trauma of losing their father. Herr eldest, Atticus is 5 and has been diagnosed as Autistic which requires special care. Meika cannot provide this care due to her financial situation and is even unable to pay for basic daycare for Atticus (5 years old) and Everest (3 years old).

As Meika navigates this irreparable and heartbreaking loss, we ask you for your support. This horrible tragedy has left a beautiful young family broken. Meika deserves the peace to process this loss and get back on her feet without the unending burden of finances adding to the trauma.
