Forever Loved, Forever Missed

It is with heavy hearts we are writing this, but there will never be a right time to announce that our beautiful baby girl was born sleeping at 33 weeks on 10.07.2022 at 00:44, weighing 3lb 9oz

We are completely heart broken but we were lucky enough to hold, kiss and cuddle Isabella, and the love and support from our family and friends has given us the strength for us to do this, thank you.

In memory of Isabella, we want to help raise money to support 3 fantastic causes that supported us so much through such a difficult time.

Russell’s Hall Maternity Unit - we want to contribute and help grow the incredible development of the bereavement suite within the maternity unit. Room 20 was developed and campaigned for by so many wonderful people, and we can’t thank those people enough for the support, the care and the comfort we received during our most difficult life event. The midwives who helped and guided us through this time we’re amazing. They spoke to and handled Isabella with so much respect, we’ll forever be thankful for these angels.

Room 20 is a specially developed bereavement suite that is sound proofed and provides addition home comforts, to help support and to improve the environment in which families spend time adjusting to the death of their baby.

We want to help towards developing another specialised room within the bereavement suite, as with there currently being only 1 of these rooms developed, this means that some families could unfortunately miss out on the additional comforts provided, if room 20 is already being used to support another family.

This room really is amazing, it provides such a needed private space for families to spend as much time with their babies, somewhere to have hand and foot prints taken and private professional photographs taken to create as many memories as possible, in such a short space of time they get to be with their sleeping babies.

This brings us to our other 2 charities we want to support, 4Louis and Remember My Baby.

4Louis - aims to provide hospitals free of charge with memory boxes to be given to bereaved parents who suffer the trauma of stillbirth or neonatal death. These memory boxes include hand and foot print kits, child loss support books and pairs of lovely memory items like 2 knitted hearts, 2 soft teddies and 2 blankets. The idea behind everything being in pairs is so one half is kept with the baby and the other is kept forever by the parents. This on its own continues to provide us with so much support, knowing that Isabella is comforted and connected by the bunny we left with her and we’re holding the other one to the pair. It’s these kind of memories created in such a short period of time that really mean so much.

Remember My Baby - RMB offers a free gift of baby remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby either before, during or shortly after birth. By offering sensitive and beautiful remembrance photography. Isabella was born at 00:44 and Tianna from RMB was with us by around 10am the same day. Tianna took time out of her own Sunday, at short notice to be with us and helped create some more incredible memories of Isabella.

As all 3 areas have now formed such a big part of ours lives, we want to support all 3 and this is where your kind donations will be split across. I couldn’t imagine anyone else going through what we’ve been through and not be able to have all of these additional supporting structures around them.

So in memory of Isabella, we’re going to do everything we can to give as much back as we received.
