I heard from a classmate that one of our classmates from 1971 Tucker High School, Mike Jones, was having a very difficult time. The house he was renting was destroyed by fire, so the landlord put him in an apartment until the end of April. He almost died from COVID in 2021, and because of his poor health, he lost his job at Lowe's and is living mostly on Social Security.
He actually found a place behind West End Manor but will need some help with startup expenses (deposits, utilities, etc.) and ongoing expenses such as oxygen and monthly rent and utilities. He is 73 years old, so it's not easy for him to get another job as he does not have a car.
Started this fund as a fellow classmate and friend hoping anyone feeling the need to help out would do so. I'm sure Mike would appreciate anything you feel compelled to do.
Thank you!
