Help Mrs. Alannah and Her Family After Their Home Was Destroyed by a Car Accident
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our dear friend, coworker, and dedicated early childhood educator, Mrs. Alannah Laracy and her family. Early morning on December 22 (3AM). Just days before Christmas, their rented home was struck by a car, causing severe damage and leaving it uninhabitable. Thankfully, Alannah and her husband Chris (A.K.A Mr. Christopher - Student Early Childhood Educator), and their black lab, Maverick were home at the time, but their two young sons were staying with family for the evening and were not present. While they are all safe, the accident has left them without a place to live, and the uncertainty is especially difficult as they face the challenge of finding a new home, just days before Christmas.
Currently, the Laracy family are staying with relatives, but the space is tight. As renters, they are unsure of when or how they can return to their home, or even if it will be able to be repaired. This uncertainty has added another layer of stress to an already challenging time.
For those who don’t know, Alannah is a loving mother, wife, and a dedicated daycare teacher who spends her days caring for and nurturing children. You may see her on daily walks around the town of Carbonear with her class of preschoolers. Now, it’s our chance to support her and her family as they navigate this overwhelming crisis.
The funds raised here will go toward:
• Temporary housing and relocation expenses
• A deposit on a new home
• Replacing essential belongings that were lost or damaged
• Supporting their family through this tough time, especially during the holiday season
This support could make a significant difference in helping them find stability again. If the family is unable to return to their rented home, the funds could even help them with a down payment on their own home—giving them a permanent place to settle and build a future for their young children.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate some of their burdens and bring them one step closer to normalcy. Your generosity can make a real difference in their ability to recover, rebuild, and begin anew in 2025.
Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and support. Together, we can help this incredible family get back on their feet and start fresh this holiday season.
Warm regards,
a friend
