For the past year, little Manny has been choking multiple times a day - and no one has a single clue why or how to stop it.

Manny is a happy, energetic child, but every day is a battle to stay alive. He chokes up to five times a day on purees, milk and lately his own saliva.

His single mum Sage, a nurse, has to sit and watch helplessly as he sometimes loses consciousness.

 The poor little boy has had countless blood tests and screenings, plus assessments from speech pathologists, a dietician and occupational therapists with no diagnosis or cure.

Mannys mum Sage feels like she’s fighting a losing battle. Its frightening  and it is progressively worsening. She is having to give him back blows and is often praying this isn’t his time. 

As as if the stress of having a sick child is not enough Sage is unable to work due to having to be by Mannys side 24/7. She is now flying to Melbourne to see is the Melbourne Children’s hospital can help but obviously this comes with extreme financial pressure.
