Hi, my name is Chelsea, and I’m fundraising to support people living with cancer.
Last year, we raised nearly £1,000 for cancer charities by hosting a powerlifting competition at Fervid Fitness in Flint. I’m excited to share that we’ll be doing it all again in 2026!
Over the past year, I’ve learned so much more about cancer and have made it my mission to raise awareness of the positive impact exercise can have on treatment-related symptoms. I’ve become a fully qualified cancer exercise rehabilitation instructor and have even supported my mum through a personalised exercise programme. Unfortunately, due to the nature of her diagnosis, she wasn’t eligible for referral through her oncologist something I strongly believe needs to change, as it’s neither fair nor inclusive.
My mum has absolutely loved taking part in her programme, and it’s clear that no one with a cancer diagnosis should miss out on the benefits that exercise can bring. Through this experience, I’m determined to keep raising awareness and campaigning for more research in this area.
This is where your donation can make a real difference this year.

Tracys story:
Tracey’s story is one of strength, resilience, and learning to adapt to a life she never expected. In 2024, Tracey was diagnosed with plasma cell leukaemia and multiple myeloma, an incredibly rare and aggressive combination, affecting roughly 1 in a million people. The prognosis is often poor, and from the moment of diagnosis, her world changed overnight.
Since then, she has endured an intense and relentless treatment journey. She has undergone a stem cell transplant, faced multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and recently received the difficult news that treatment won’t have an endpoint, chemotherapy will now be part of her life indefinitely. That’s not an easy reality to accept. It’s a hard, ongoing adjustment both physically and emotionally.
Despite all of this, one thing that wasn’t offered to Tracey was support through exercise rehabilitation something proven to help manage treatment side effects, improve strength, and enhance quality of life. So, instead of accepting that gap, I stepped in.
Together, we introduced a personalised exercise rehabilitation programme tailored to her needs, her energy levels, and her treatment. It wasn’t about pushing limits it was about helping her feel like herself again, even in small ways. Regaining a sense of control, improving her physical strength, and lifting her mood.
Exercise has become more than just movement it’s been a tool for resilience, a way to cope, and a way to reclaim some quality of life in the middle of ongoing treatment.
Tracey’s journey highlights not only the reality of living with a rare and lifelong cancer diagnosis, but also the urgent need for more inclusive support systems. No one should have to miss out on something that could help them feel stronger, more capable, and more like themselves.
