Hello, my name is Shakira. I am raising funds to help my mom in Jamaica, whose life was turned upside down when her home was completely destroyed in a sudden, devastating house fire.

In just minutes, everything was gone — her clothes, furniture, family photos, and all the little things that made her house a home. So many precious memories were lost that night. While I’m beyond grateful that she made it out safely, the pain of watching her lose everything has been heartbreaking.

On top of losing her home and belongings, she also lost all of her important government documents. In Jamaica, replacing these documents is not only a long process but also very expensive. This makes starting over even more difficult and adds another heavy burden to an already overwhelming situation.

Right now, she has nothing to return to and no place to call home. But I believe, with the kindness and generosity of others, we can help her rebuild.
