Days after our mom's 40th birthday, our family's world turned upside down. Our mom suffered from a severe brain injury due to a stroke. The stroke was by the brain stem which affected the back/mid part of her brain which is a crucial part for survival. It has left her impaired, unable to speak, move, and she needs an oxygen tube in her throat for respiratory support. She can no longer be independent or take care of herself. I can't even begin to describe the emotional toll this has taken on us. Seeing our mom, so young, in such a vulnerable state has been heart wrenching. We can't even imagine what she's going through. Our mom is a beautiful single mother of 4 children, she has worked hard her whole life to support our family, no matter the circumstance she was there for us. Now is the time she needs us to take care of her more than ever. She is unable to work and pay her expenses because of the condition she’s in. Her personal bills are piling up and we need extra help to make ends meet because honestly we can’t do it alone right now. We know times are tough for everyone but if you can spare anything for our family, every little bit counts and will be going towards bills, expenses and keeping a roof over our heads.
