Nicaragua Mission Trip

"Let us occupy ourselves in service." Romans 12 gives us advice in it's simplest form; do what YOU are CALLED to do. As many of you may know, I am entering my third year in dental school. There were a number of reasons I chose dentistry, but I also believe dentistry chose me by virtue of my love for service. In every occupation, there is an opportunity to serve but it is up to us to seize that opportunity!
I am delighted to have been selected to travel with the Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) to Nicaragua this July. The CMDA exists to equip and educate healthcare professionals and students while glorifying God. In a country with almost 6 million people, 48% of whom live below the poverty line, a need has been established that CMDA aims to accommodate. Eighty percent of Nicaraguans live off less than $2 per day, therefore it is needless to say medical and dental healthcare is often inadvertently neglected. Their need is our motivation. However, the adverse conditions of this poverty stricken country is so rampant that it can only be mended by a team effort. So here is how you can help! I am petitioning my family and friends to pray for and donate to this mission. All monies collected will go towards my program fees, flight, and lodging for the entire trip. In doing so, this will enable me to join a team of doctors, dentists, and ministers on an assignment to provide services to the people of Nicaragua. I thank you all for taking the time to read this campaign! My gratitude for your prayers, donations, and support is inexplainable.
