Blake and Sarah (Schiltz) Meister’s son Noah was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and a cyst was found by his brainstem at only one month old. He had surgery in Sioux Falls on May 31st to try to treat this. Due to complications, he has had to have a second surgery and now has either an infection or some sort of inflammation that has made him very sick. Blake and Sarah made the call to have him transferred to Mayo Clinic to receive better care.
Tomorrow (June 12th), he will be having a third surgery and will be in ICU for at least two weeks before needing a fourth surgery. This is the plan as of now as long as there are no more unforeseen complications. Noah is on very harsh antibiotics and still has little immune system since he is only six weeks old. Sarah will be staying with him throughout this journey and Blake will be in Rochester as he can while continuing to work to help with the medical bills as they are already piling up.
