Hey everyone. I honestly don't know exactly how to start this because this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I have spent days trying to decide if I had reached a point where this was my only option, but here I am.

All I have ever tried to be is a good dad, a good husband, and a good person. But as much as I've hoped and prayed that doing right by others and working hard would be enough to get me out of my financial crisis, it hasn't, and now I find myself at rock bottom.

I am 53 years old, happily married with a daughter at home and another living on her own. We do our best to provide as much support to our extended family as possible, and we have always done it at our own expense. But I'm out of options and we are so far behind, I'm afraid that nothing I can do is going to keep my family out of dire financial circumstances.

We owe back federal and state taxes and this GoFundMe is primarily to pay these debts and remove the anxiety surrounding the potential ramifications of the government. I've tried to pay what I can, but changes in my pay at my job put me behind, and now everything is just snowballing, and we can't even live paycheck to paycheck anymore.

I just want a fresh start and a chance to live out whatever is left of my life without the worry and stress of those debts. I'm not asking for any sort of donations to live an extravagant lifestyle. I just want to continue to be a provider for my family, and the weight of all this is impacting my ability to do that, and it kills me inside. I don't want to be a failure to my family, and I don't want to leave this Earth and have left it worse for the people I love.
