Help Alyssa Smile Again
In 2017, my daughter Alyssa was diagnosed with Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome—a rare disorder that causes abnormal overgrowth of bones, limbs, and even organs. Over the years, the condition has not only brought her chronic pain but has slowly taken away her ability to do the things she loves most—especially spending time with her friends.
A few years ago, a genetics specialist warned us that Alyssa’s syndrome would begin affecting her oral health in ways we couldn’t prevent—no matter how much she brushed or how careful she was. Unfortunately, that prediction has come true. Fast forward to 2025, and Alyssa now faces severe dental issues and pain that require a complete oral reconstruction.
The oral surgeon has recommended removing all of her teeth and replacing them with implants. Dentures are not a long-term option due to the continuing changes in her jaw caused by the syndrome. The total cost of the procedure is nearly $65,000—yet our medical insurance won’t cover it, and dental insurance will only contribute $2,000.
If you know Alyssa, you know she’s full of love, laughter, and light. But lately, she doesn’t smile much anymore—because of the pain and embarrassment her condition has caused.
We’re reaching out to our community—friends, family, and anyone who feels called to help. We understand times are tough, but every dollar makes a difference. Your kindness and support could help give Alyssa her smile, her confidence, and a piece of her life back.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
